TREE TRIMMING & fruit tree pruninG

Trimming can help improve the long-term health and structure of a tree as well as often greatly improving a view for the owner.

Younger trees will need more frequent trimming to help instill, proper growth and limb structure throughout the canopy where as a mature tree will typically require less frequent trimming and thinning.

Fruit tree pruning can also be an extremely tedious and sometimes daunting task to customers. Ben and his crew have experience pruning hundreds of fruit trees over the years. The best time to do any major pruning or thinning is during the dormant season, in the spring before the leaves emerge or in the fall after the leaves turn color.

To help maintain proper structure and reduce shoot growth, fruit trees should be pruned approximately every 1-2 years.
